I am a highly motivated teacher and researcher in the field of Media Studies. I strongly believe
that Media Studies should concentrate on the study of the aesthetic, political, social, economic,
and ethical ramifications of media old and new, understood in the broadest possible sense.
It should be both interested in the specific potentials and functions of the various media but
more importantly, it should look at the interactions between all of the media in play within a
culture at the same historic juncture. In so doing Media Studies will succeed in addressing the
core questions of media content and media context, providing valuable links between the past,
present, and future of mediated communications from a growing global perspective.
